GAIN x3 More New Patient Referrals with Physician Interviews

by | Mar 7, 2022 | Marketing

Technology has completely changed the marketing game for physical therapists in private practice.

20-years ago the gold standard of marketing was catered luncheons. A practice owner would schedule a luncheon with a local orthopedic group. We would buy lunch for the whole office in the hopes of getting 3 minutes face to face with the surgeon.

Then we would get a handful of “pitty-referrals” to cover the cost of the luncheon.

These days, making connections and adding value to your ideal referral source is far better than catering a luncheon for them.

Physician Interviews

One of the  greatest value adds for a referal source is to help them get the word out about what they do and who they seek to serve.

The easiest way to do this is with a Zoom interview.

Step 1 – Create your Dream 100 list of referral sources you want to connect with this year. These could be physicians, surgeons, local business owners, allied healthcare professionals, influencers, medical supply companies, etc.

Step 2 – Start contacting these referral sources with your invitation to interview them on your featured provider highlight series.

Step 3 – In your invitation be sure to outline exactly what is expected. How long will the interview take? What is the goal of the interview? Where will your share the interview?

Step 4 – Offer 3 specific dates and times to make responding as easy as YES or NO.

Bonus – If you have already performed any interviews use those as samples to show the referral source what to expect. If you haven’t already performed any interviews feel free to use one of mine or others that have already been published.

More to come…
